New York is home to many incredible rooftop bars, but I think you’d be hard-pressed to find one as aesthetically pleasing as Vintage Green Rooftop in Murray Hill NYC.

Having only opened in July 2024, Vintage Green is one of the newest rooftop bars in NYC that has already cemented its place on my list of favourite rooftops in the city.

Situated in Midtown Manhattan, less than a 10-minute walk from Bryant Park, the Empire State Building, and Grand Central Terminal, this stunning rooftop bar is super conveniently located for exploring some of the city’s nearby attractions. Not only that, but its Midtown location means that it offers truly incredible views of the Manhattan skyline.

If you’re looking for inspiration for the best New York hotels with rooftop bars, I really couldn’t recommend Vintage Green at The Shelburne Sonesta Hotel enough! My guide below includes everything you need to know about the menu, views, age restrictions, opening times, and more!

Vintage Green Rooftop NYC

Vintage Green Rooftop New York

Located on the 16th floor of The Shelburne Sonesta Hotel in Murray Hill, Vintage Green might just be one of the prettiest rooftop bars in New York City.

Living up to its name, Vintage Green is a rooftop garden oasis with the most glorious greenery all throughout its indoor/outdoor rooftop terrace, complete with thriving plants, trees, and other assorted greenery.

Not only is the rooftop itself utterly gorgeous, but it also offers spectacular views of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, the East River, Edge, and more!

Vintage Green is also an all-season rooftop bar, meaning that it’s open come rain or shine, and as it boasts an incredible indoor bar, as well as ample cover and a retractable glass atrium for its outdoor terrace, the rooftop can be enjoyed no matter when you’re visiting NYC!

If you’re looking for the best NYC hotels with rooftop lounges, look no further than Vintage Green Rooftop at the top of the Shelburne Sonesta Hotel!

Vintage Green Rooftop menu

Both the food and drink menus at Vintage Green are vast and varied, with an exciting range of cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and more.

On the food menu, you’ll find dishes such as sliders, pizza, charcuterie plates, chicken wings, salads, sandwiches and more.

As with most rooftops in NYC, food and drink at Vintage Green is not cheap, with most cocktails priced at $18-$21 and most food items priced between $15 to $25.

There is also a “fancier cocktail” menu where prices range from a whopping $30 to $50!

As part of our visit to Vintage Green NYC, we were very kindly treated to two cocktails each. Our visit was at the beginning of October, so we got to try the rooftop’s signature Halloween-themed cocktails which were exciting, unique, and super tasty!

The cocktail menu at Vintage Green is constantly evolving and changing, which makes for a fun visit as you never know what to expect! Of course, you can always expect to see the classics on the menu, such as a French 75, Old Fashioned, Manhattan, as well as plenty of beer, wine, and spirits, but it’s also super cool to have a variety of new cocktails pop up every so often!

Vintage Green prefers to cater to adults only, so unfortunately, under 21s are not permitted at the rooftop at this time.
